HALLOWEEN PIZZA

MINI HALLOWEEN PIZZAS: For the pizza lovers out there, of course we have to throw in Halloween Pizza recipes! Here’s what you’ll need: 1 ball of homemade pizza dough, 1 cup pizza sauce, ½ pound cheese, pepperoni, bell peppers, olives, onion, pineapple, parsley, salami, and Canadian bacon (all toppings are optional). First, preheat the oven to 450 degrees. Divide the pizza dough into four portions. Roll/pat each portion into an eight-inch circle and place on a greased baking sheet. Bake for 5 minutes. Spread each crust with pizza sauce. Top them with the toppings of your choice to make Halloween inspired designs. If you would like to make ghosts, cut a thin round of fresh mozzarella. Cut the round into the shape of a ghost. Use diced olives for the eyes. If you would like to make a mummy, cut a thin round of mozzarella. Slice the round into strips for the mummy bandages. Use sliced olives for the eyes. For a spider, use pepperoni slices to make the body shape, sliced green bell pepper for the legs and olives for the eyes. After each topping has been added, bake each pizza for another 5 – 8 minutes until the cheese is melted. Now you have some cute and tasty mini Halloween pizzas!

KID-SIZE GHOST PIZZAS: How about some adorable little pizzas for your kids? Here is what you’ll need: 2 tubes (12 ounces each) refrigerated buttermilk biscuits, 1 can (8 ounces) tomato sauce, 1 – ½ teaspoons dried minced onion, 1 teaspoon dried oregano, 1 teaspoon dried basil, 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder, 20 slices part-skim mozzarella cheese and sliced ripe olives. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Roll/pat the biscuits into 2 – ½ inch circles. Place on greased baking sheets. In a small bowl, combine tomato sauce, onion, oegegano, basil and garlic powder; spread over the biscuits. Bake 8 – 10 minutes or until the edges are lightly browned. Using a small ghost-shaped cookie cutter, cut a ghost out of each cheese slice. Immediately place a ghost over each pizza. Add olives to make the faces. This recipe makes approximately 20 pizzas. Your kids will love these!

HALLOWEEN CHEESE PIZZA: What you’ll need: 1 ½ cups original Bisqucik mix, 1/3 cup very hot water, ½ cup pizza sauce, 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese, ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning, 5 slices (3/4 oz) processed American cheese. Move your oven rack to the lowest position. Heat the oven to 450 degrees and then grease your 12-inch pizza pan. Mix Bisquick and very hot water until a soft dough forms. Press the dough into the pizza pan, using fingers dipped in Bisquick. Pinch the edge to form ½ inch rim. Bake this for ten minutes. Spread pizza sauce over the crust. Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese and Italian seasoning. Bake for 5 – 7 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is all melted. Cut some American cheese with Halloween shaped cookie cutters. Place the shapes on the pizza, and it’s ready to serve.
