MASON JAR LIGHTING DIY’S

There are so many fun and unique things to do with mason jars. They make beautiful decorations and lights! Try one of our mason jar DIY’s to add something special to your home.

MASON JAR MONOGRAM LIGHT: What you’ll need: 2ft square piece of ½” plywood, 11 quilted canning jars and rims (depending on your letter—you may need more or less), ½ wood screws, white paint, blue painters tape, power drill with ¾” bit, 1 string of outdoor light, 1 nail and hammer, and measuring tape. Start by taping your monogram and then paint it white. Lay the jar rims on your monogram and trace the center of each with a pencil so you know where to place them evenly on the letter. Punch two holes in the center of the rim. Use a ¾” bit to drill out the center of each marked circle. Then, use the ½” screws to secure the rims to the board. Insert a light socket in the holes and screw in the light bulbs. Screw down a jar over each light bulb. Now all you have to do is plug it in, and it lights up!

LED MASON JAR LIGHTS: Frost pint and quart sized mason jars with frosted glass spray to make the LED light look warmer. You can keep them as displays or make a chandelier with them!
